DevOps Consultant (Windows)

As a DevOps Consultant, you will help your client to become more efficient, by demonstrating the business benefits of CI/CD.  You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team including DevOps, Developers, Business Analysts and QAs to deliver software at pace and at scale.

  • About the role and what you'll be doing

    We help our client to become more efficient, by demonstrating the business benefits of CI/CD. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team including DevOps, Developers, Business Analysts and QAs to deliver software at pace and at scale.

    On a day-to-day basis, you will be working hand in hand with the client and your fellow Amido team members to uncover the hard problems and solving them using cloud-native technologies, modern techniques and software.

  • What you'll bring to Amido

    When you join Amido you will be joining one of our teams delivering products for our clients, as such, you will be expected to be able to create CI/CD pipelines using modern software and techniques using the Microsoft stack:

    • CI/CD using TeamCity/Azure DevOps
    • Configuration Management and infrastructure using Octopus Deploy
    • Scripting using PowerShell

    If you think that your skill set is more on the open source stack, then apply anyway as we are looking for both roles.

    Increasingly we are helping our customers adopt containers and Kubernetes, so experience of Kubernetes and Docker are extremely beneficial.

    We expect our consultants to be self-motivated and commercially aware, so having the ability to understand the client’s business and the stakeholders involved in the project ensures that they get what they need to make the project a success.

    Being a consultant at Amido means you are always on the front line, you’ll be working closely with clients and you need to know how to build a network so that when your team needs something you know who to call in a favour from.

    You will always be prepared to explain what your project does, how it works and how it benefits the business – in your interview expect to pick up a whiteboard marker to help you explain some of the finer points of your past experience.
