Starting with three employees, we started working with Canon on their Irista project, and with Insurecom on digital projects designed to help them digitally transform their customer offering

2013 saw us open our London office, shared with Skills Matter, as our reputation for delivering large-scale, complex solutions continued to grow with the addition of ASOS and Channel 4 to our list of clients

2015 saw our largest online retail client go live with their Microservice platform that we helped to design and deliver, giving it unrivalled flexibility and industry-leading customer experience

Leadership team

Alan Walsh - CEO

After starting his IT career as a Systems Engineer, an Infrastructure Architect and then transitioning into global delivery management roles, Alan spotted an opportunity. Inspired to deliver projects and use technology in a smarter way, Alan set up Amido in 2010.

Chris Gray - Chief Operating Officer

Joining Alan from the very beginning, Chris embodies the Amido culture of vendor agnosticism. He is the go-to guy for technical guidance and works directly with clients to ensure their commercial and technical objectives are met.

Simon Evans - Chief Technology Officer

As CTO, Simon keeps the complexity of Amido projects to a minimum. A cloud evangelist and delivery-focused architect, he is always on the lookout for new technologies that allow Amido’s clients to leverage the cloud.

Gemma Craddock - Finance Director

As Finance Director, Gemma is responsible for financial governance, and provides financial advice and support to help the business make key decisions.

Harriet Durnford-Smith - Marketing Director

With 10+ years’ experience in a combination of agency and in-house marketing roles, Harriet is responsible for marketing strategy and execution, driving brand awareness and positioning Amido as a partner of choice for cloud-native transformation

Rob Pearson - User Experience

If a project has users and an interface, Rob is your man. As Head of User Experience, he is responsible for making products simple and intuitive to use. Rob also plays a role in key people-related initiatives such as employee wellbeing and pastoral support.

Jo Hill - People Director

As People Director, Jo is responsible for all people-related activities. She guides and manages the Human Resources function, policies, and programs for employee wellbeing to ensure that we keep our people at the heart of what we do.

Simon Hampton - Commercial Director

With a background in business process outsourcing and software sales, previously with Oracle, Simon leads the Commercial Team to accelerate growth
